Today I’m taking some time to share with you some personal insights and updates. Every year, in fact, in December I try to carve out some time analyzing the year that has passed and planning for the new year.
For 2023 I thought about major changes to my business and I would like to share them with you here. I thought that, other than just telling you “I will do this, I’m planning to do that “, it could have been more interesting to share a bit more deeply about it, by sharing both the good things and the bad ones which happened to me this year.

I’m doing this because I always love reading about other people’s experiences, it always helped me a lot in these years to understand more about other people’s own experiences, both good and bad ones. Honestly the majority of people online just share the good ones – but we all know it’s not just about these, especially in the last period, and I think we should all stop worrying about looking “perfect” and start worrying instead much more about the real value we bring to other people and being a bit more empathic in general.
Here is a throwback of my year.
2022 for me started in a really bad way because in February ( it was the night before Saint Valentine’s day ) one of my most talented collaborators was hit by a car just close to his home, in the city center of Milano. They never found the murderer and he is still in coma.
This hit me hard – you never think about how things can change from one day to another, how life can just turn upside down or actually stop in a blink of an eye.
Probably by looking back I had to take a pause in the first months of the year – I didn’t and I forced myself to work – you know, I have that “heads down, working” mindset typical of this area of Italy I was born in and it’s very difficult to change some patterns we have because of our education. So if looking back to 2022 I would just put a “pause” button on the first months and jump straight to the spring and here I will. Here is a list of what went well and what didn’t.
