On Friday President Trump posted on Facebook for the first time since being restored from his two year suspension. Trump posted a clip of his 2016 presidential victory speech, “Sorry to keep you waiting. Complicated business,” he said in the clip. Then posted two words – “I’m Back.”
Rugg tweeted, “Trump is back on Facebook. I predict Twitter is next. He is going to fight the possible incoming indictment head on. This should be fun…”
Trump is back on Facebook.
I predict Twitter is next.
He is going to fight the possible incoming indictment head on.
President Trump was banned from Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter following the January 6 protests at the capitol. Leftist-owned social media platforms attempted to punish the President after he called for election integrity and encouraged his frustrated base.
As Hodgetwins noted in a recent tweet,
Here are the facts:
-January 6 was a legit, mostly peaceful protest
– People had every right to be there to protest a stolen election
-The only people that died that day were Trump supporters
-The media and establishment politicians hid evidence and tried to frame it as a “coup.”

However, when leftist-controlled media and social media platforms worked hard to spin a narrative surrounding J6, which included trying to pin an “insurrection” on President Trump, he responded by starting Truth Social, his own social media platform.
Facebook and Instagram, which are owned by Meta Platforms, announced earlier this year that Trump’s access to his accounts would be reinstated.
President of global affairs at Meta and former U.K. politician weighed in on the decision saying they decided to reinstate Trump’s accounts because he is no longer a “serious risk to public safety” and they had “guardrails” in place for his return. Trump said his return to the platform would be a more significant financial help for Meta, conveying he did not need the platform. Trump told Fox News that Facebook lost large sums of money, ranging in the billions, when he left the platform.
“If they took us back, it would help them greatly, and that’s okay with me,” Trump said. “But they need us more than we need them.”
Trump’s return to Facebook comes as his race for the White House starts to heat up. So far, the Republican primary race includes four candidates; President Trump, former U.N. Ambassador and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, multi-millionaire businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, and Michigan businessman Perry Johnson.
