We’re filled with JOY today! Wanna know why? We’re digging into all of the new emotions coming with Inside Out 2 ! Now that Riley is a little older, she’s starting to feel some new emotions, and if she’s anything like we were as teens, that’s bound to cause some DRAMA. Remember what it was like as a teenager? Well, Disney is bringing all our old memories to life with its NEW movie! So far, we already KNOW that Anxiety will be entering the arena — and surely occupying a LOT of Riley’s headspace (she even brought all of her baggage) — and will be voiced by Maya Hawke. Maya Hawke is probably most well-known for her role in Stranger Things . This new trailer gives us a hint about some other new emotions. Let’s take a look! In Riley’s swirling sea of emotions, a new addition is making waves: meet Ennui , a mysterious figure cloaked in shades of dark blue and purple. She will be voiced by Adèle Exarchopoulos, a French actress most well-known for her performance in La Vie d’Adèle . No venture into puberty is complete without embarrassment. And Embarrassment is definitely included in this cast of new characters. This new character is large, a rosy pink (much like the blush of embarrassment), and mostly hidden and retreated into an oversized hoodie. Embarrassment is voiced by Paul Walter Hauser, who has also had roles in Cruella , I Tonya , and Late Night . Finally, Envy arrives on the scene. Her bright, sparkling eyes are surely observing every new item she wishes she had. She is voiced by Ayo Edebiri, who has also voiced characters in Big Mouth, Clone High, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The new movie is set to be released in June 2024 — that’s not too far away! We can’t wait to see what kind of adventures the emotions get up to this year. Stay tuned for more updates!
