A flight attendant has revealed her favorite celebrity encounters during her years working on planes. Emily Kelly — known as The Hungry Flight Attendant to her YouTube subscribers -—spilled the tea in one of her vlogs, adding that she only was going to share positive experiences “for obvious reasons.” When she was “flying for fun” from Atlanta to Dallas, Kelly ended up running into Australian actor and filmmaker Joel Edgerton, known for his roles in “Loving,” the Australian series “The Secret Life of Us” and for playing Owen Lars in “Star Wars” films. “He was the most humble, kind, amazing person. Like, one of the most humble, kind people that I’ve ever met not just celebrity-wise, like anyone,” she shared. “And he made me feel important and he made me feel heard.” Edgerton, 49, started chatting with Kelly about what she does for work and told her that he was in Atlanta scouting places for a movie he was directing. “But he said it so casually like he did not say in a pompous, arrogant way,” Kelly said. Several years ago Kelly also met Michael Blackson “before he was super, super famous” but when he was still pretty well-known with about a million Instagram followers. Blackson, 51, posted a selfie of him and Kelly on his Instagram page — which led Kelly to not only gain 500 new followers, but people also started commenting on her posts asking if she was dating the actor and philanthropist. Kelly noted in the episode description that “Blackson asked ME for a selfie, and posted it on his own Instagram account. I didn’t ask him.” Paula Dean was another celeb who was on one of Kelly’s flights, and the flight attendant said that Dean is “exactly how she was on her cooking show — just like a sweet little warm grandma.” Kelly told the 77-year-old chef that her whole family loves her, and Dean responded that she “returns that love.” Three days after meeting Dean, Kelly — who is a self-proclaimed foodie — met another legendary chef: Bobby Flay. Kelly was at the gate trying to get on her flight to Vegas from LAX when she turned around and saw the 59-year-old chef — which put her in shock for a minute. “I was like, ‘Are you Bobby Flay?’ I had no chill,” she laughed, adding that he smiled at her and was very friendly. Kelly and Flay were on the same flight, but Flay was in first class while Kelly was right behind first class. “I like, watched him the whole flight. I know that’s weird but I’m such a chef girl and chef lover so that was really cool to share a flight with him,” she admitted. Some “Bachelor” stars were on Kelly’s flights as well. She had Arie and Lauren Luyendyk on her flight, and while she said both were really nice, she emphasized how friendly and warm Arie was in particular since she didn’t really talk to Lauren. Kelly said Arie even opened up to her about his behind-the-scenes experience on “The Bachelor.” Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne were also on a flight with Kelly. She said Corinne was “so sweet and so beautiful.” “Jamie was super friendly, he smiled a lot and was super nice. He didn’t ask for anything on the flight,” she shared. Meanwhile, on the same flight as Jamie Foxx was Mary-Kate Olsen, who Kelly said was “so tiny and so cute” and very friendly when she came on the plane, but went right to sleep so interactions were limited. “My inner child freaked out,” Kelly said. “[People] my age grew up watching the Olsen twins on everything. I was obsessed with all of their movies.” Kelly ended up putting a disclaimer in the description of her video saying, “Most of these celebrity encounters were NOT on the aircraft. I randomly met almost all of them in the airport.” “The other pictures [besides Blackson] I asked for, were on my own time, in the airport. I also worked for a different company with 99% of these encounters. I never want to bother my celebrity passengers, so that’s why I don’t ask them for pictures. I respect their privacy.”
