The problem with Jon Stewart is that he’s not on TV every night anymore.
He’s been putting out excellent content on his new AppleTV show The Problem With Jon Stewart, but the problem is that not enough people are benefitting from his unique take on politics — a take that combines his brilliant humor with his intelligence and natural curiosity.
Unlike a lot of interviewers, Stewart is able to hold his subjects accountable because he usually knows more about the issues than they do.
But his talent for this truly shines when he bests the person who’s interviewing him.
Stewart sat down with CNN‘s Fareed Zakaria on Sunday and immediately turned the tables — or in this case, the interview desk — on his host as he showed exactly how the MSM needs to be covering Donald Trump.
Instead of asking what the implications of Trump’s impending indictment will be, or if his arrest will make him a “martyr,” Stewart said the mainstream media should only be focusing on the facts of whether or not Trump broke the law without their own speculation of what it “means” politically.
The endlessly quotable interview hit several major talking points, like how Fox News is a joke and how Tucker Carlson has been doing a weak imitation of Stewart by “borrowing” from his “playbook” while distorting the truth.
Stewart also blasted the media for asking the wrong questions when it comes to Trump instead of honing in on the actual truth of what he’s been accused of.

Stewart has reportedly been approached by new CNN Chief Chris Licht to host a nightly show on the network, which would definitely bring in more viewers to the flailing network, but the problem is that CNN isn’t what it used to be.
Also, getting to hear Jon Stewart say the F-word is always better.
